Inspired by a childlike sense of joy and optimism, this film ex­plores the interconnectedness of sound and visuals through physical process.

To create the bold animated patterns, I used a technique called strata-cut. I made a series of solid clay logs, moulding the clay so patterns were embedded within. I then cut the logs a thin slice at a time, taking a photo with each slice. When played consecutively, this creates movement between the shapes.
